Serious Question: Why do some of our SEC brethren play their opening day games before the typical work day ends? I'm asking because I'm pretty sure we would never do that.

I know Kentucky is involved in a tournament and that's not unusual for any tournament setting (not just baseball).

We play at 3, it'll be 45 degrees or so at first pitch.
If we played at 6 first pitch would be about 37 degrees and below freezing come 8pm.

I like those tourneys and wish LSU would host one sometimes. And early season tourney with a quality team from the northeast, midwest, and pacific northwest would be awesome.
I'd make an attempt to go to every game if we could get St Johns, Creighton, and Oregon or Oregon St in here for a tourney.
