Obviously not for 100 bucks at 6pm on a Thursday.

I wouldn't think that would be an issue for locals. You could go straight from work. Maybe I'm wrong. shite, I'd go even though I don't cheer for either team.

I can understand why out of town fans wouldn't want to go.

For the record, USC sold their allotment of 12.5K tickets and asked for more....

Yep, guy that works at the Charlotte Sports Foundation told me that we sold 13.7K. UNC was around 10K of their 12.5K. I bet we'll have a good amount of fans scalping too. We did our part. It's not our fault if UNC fans or non-affiliated locals don't want to come.

There will be more Carolina fans than North Carolina fans. When I went to the game in Chapel Hill in 2007, that had to be the least intimidating environment I've ever been in. Their fans stink.

SMH. I guess, Gamecock fans aren't showing up this year to support their team?

... said no one ever, until now, because we obviously live in your head, rent free of course.

ETA: Thank you for helping to vote me out of the pit BTW.

And UNC is the team so many of you want to add to the SEC? I guess to have another Vanderbilt style auto-win in the East? SMH.

Bunch of our fans went off the deep end after last season. Should have a solid showing there as always though.

As for the UNC game - those prices were higher than Clemson, LSU, and @UGA. That's ridiculous, especially for a 6pm Thursday kickoff in Charlotte.

It would suck to have a neutral site Thursday night game. Who was the dumbass who thought that up?

That sounds terrible. You want to work a full-day, get into 5:00 traffic, and make it just in time for a game (maybe?)

I heard an interview with the LSU Ticket Office Director yesterday. He said ALL SEC schools AD's report less demand for away game tickets in the past 5 years.

LSU has decided to reduce our visitor allotment in 2016 in TS to 6K (from 7K). That means we'll get 6K for away games instead of the 7K we usually get.

We sold out our bama and Ole Miss alotments and have less than 100 left for the game at Syracuse. But we returned 1K tickets to Carolina and State.

The bottom line is that football attendance patterns are changing. I wonder what it'll be like in 10 years?

I like the idea of USC/UNC in Charlotte but yeah Thursday is stupid. Easy weekend trip if it's a Saturday game.

We've sold 61k tickets sold far. Bowling Green may have 1k of those.

The problem with our game Thursday night is that it is an early Thursday game ... traffic around Charlotte is bad enough from 5:00-6:PM, but now add a football game and it is just going to be ridiculous for anyone thinking they are getting off work early and driving up any time after 4PM. ESPN screwed us with that one but it'll still be predominantly Gamecock fans in those seats.

Ten years from now, who knows. TV is playing a major role in attendance figures these days and when you add the cost of travel it just makes sense to stay home and watching it on your HD big screen with a cooler next to you in your easy chair in the air conditioning ... I'm talking about away games of course.

The big games, those that really mean something on your home field, those will continue to sell-out.

This time slot and location for the UNC game - no one really likes the feel of it. It's a case of TV having a negative impact on what otherwise should have been a great border rivalry game. This game should not have been pushed on us by ESPN even though I get the fact that they claim it was payback to the city of Charlotte for the concessions they received when they planted their SECN offices there.

Road game + Thursday night = not going to attract as many people as usual.
