I googled "death valley stadium" and LSU was the first result but Clemson was the first image.

Just FYI if you click that first link (lsunow.com), it says the Death Valley moniker originated at Clemson.

No one disputes this

It was originally Deaf Valley, a play on Clemson's stadium. It's not our fault that no one can understand us down here.

Clemson's Memorial Stadium was known as Death Valley a lot earlier, probably in the late '30/early 40s ?

Tiger Stadium was not called Death Valley until the 1950s. Some say it was a derivation of 'Deaf Valley.' However, Tiger Stadium did not start getting a reputation for being loud until probably the late 50s.

I've been to both Death Valleys and they are both huge, loud, and intimidating. Both have great traditions (Howard's Rock, stadium entrances, 4-corner stadium salute, Pregame, Mike, H goalposts, field paint, etc.)

There's nothing wrong with having 2 college stadiums known as Death Valley.
Even though Tiger Stadium was not the first, we all enjoy calling it Death Valley, and it is known as one of them nation wide.

What would beer prices be in a college football stadium?

I'm very concerned that all this beer will effect the accuracy of our highly-vaunted piss-Balloon Corp. We have worked for years to achieve the pinpoint accuracy with which to rain down the urine of The Gods upon our hated enemies, and now we are going to blow it by getting hammered? Freakin Aleeva.

Most of the LSU fans will just continue to sneak in their pint of whiskey each game.

LSU is way more intimidating than Clemson.. I mean they have giant fricking locusts flying around. And Cajuns are just generally more intimidating than the hillbillies up in them thar hills.

I don't see the big deal with having two Death Valleys either. Other than the pot-stirrers on here, LSU and Clemson have pretty much nothing to do with each other.

Enjoy your Death Valley, as we do ours.
