Dead giveaway for Bama

Best guess this is LSU as this is the SEC rant and seems LSU has played the Irish that much

Tulane 14-17-6

Not sure what Tech's record was with Tulane when they were both in the SEC but seems they played more as did most of the SEC east schools. Not one of the 4 noobs as guessing none of them has a 40 game history with the Green Wave. My best guess would be Auburn or Rebs.

Damn straight!

In the SIAA and SoCon days the private schools were good. GI bill changed that forever after WWII and the state schools came to dominate since, with a few exceptions of privates who still competed at the top level.

On a side note, what do you expect from the Bumbles this season? Will the administration ever make them competitive again? Stanford and even Duke has shown it can be done and neither has the history the Bumbles do.

tech will never be anything noteworthy or more than a blip on the radar with johnson there. Running the offense they do is a sign of desperation when you know you can't get the talent to actually beat people straight up. It's why they will flounder in 7-5/8-4 terrirtory most years.

Academics isn't an excuse. Gailey had joe hamilton as a damn heisman runner up. Stanford is regualrly top 10 with similar standards. Fact is they will never take themselves to the next level until they get a real offense. Problem for them is, whenever johnson leaves they're going to have a full roster full of people recruited for a high school offense so its' going to take at least a few years to switch over to a real one again.

Can't believe Bama and OU have only met 5 times 3 bowls and 1 home & home.

As many of you have figured it out, the answer to the first question is -

A - Alabama
B - LSU
C - Auburn

On the second question about which SEC schools has Hawaii beaten, there is one correct answer so far. Hawaii is 1 - 2 against Alabama.

No one has answered which SEC school Hawaii is 2 - 0 against.

I agree with the Georgia fan, as long as Paul Johnson is coach, a 7-5 / 8-4 season is not a surprise. There will be the occasional 10-2 season if the cards come up correct. The triple option is fun to watch when it works, but it places you in the category as a military school versus a school like Stanford. Yes you can recruit bigger and better players than Army, Air Force, and Navy but you are still limited on what your offense can do. Since 2000, Stanford has proved that you can consistently win and not use academics as an excuse. I wish we would utilize their model. Regardless, I still have fun cheering for our team and recognize that until Johnson has 3 or 4 losing seasons in a row, he will be our coach.

Not sure what you mean unless you are young enough not to remember that games use to end in a tie sometimes.

Even places like Stanford have the typical jock majors to hide players in though that aren't at Tech. Requiring everyone to take Calculus has to be a killer.

How about another trivia question -

Trivia Question #3 - Hurricane fears prompted a SEC school to delay their match up with another team. It was controversial and on the day of the originally scheduled date, the skies were blue over the empty stadium where the game was to be played. The game ended up being moved to the end of the season. After all the smack talk about delaying the game, the team hosting the game ended up with a loss for the day.

I'm not talking about LSU and Florida. Does anyone know what game I'm referring to?

Yes, that was too quick.

Another one -

Trivia Question #4 - This school, not named Alabama, use to not play their home games against Georgia Tech and Tennessee at their home stadium. Instead they chose another city to play them in. This continued up until 1970 for their home match up with Georgia Tech and up until 1978 for their match up with Tennessee.

Which school am I referring to and what stadium?

Went all the way back to the roaring '20's for the Army one.
