If you had to choose one food to throw on the grill for a tailgate, what would it be?

Ribs are a good call, but I'd go with a good burger, melt the cheese on top and slightly toast the bun.

Abita Amber

ETA: Or bourbon and diet coke when the weather gets colder.

Only time I start to drink it is when you get that first chill in the air while tailgating.

Well I hope you stocked up, since it won't be around during football season, which is why I said Octoberfest.

Exactly. First chill in the air of the year, and a seasonal brew to match it. I just got chills thinking about it. That's my favorite day of the year.

Food = BBQ. That's REAL BBQ, pulled Carolina style with mustard based sauce AND vinegar based sauce (gotta satisfy the NC and the SC peeps). Pulled the night before and reheated on the grill. Muy deliciouso

Drink = BOURBON, preferrably Four Roses or Bulleit

or berrr (microbrew or Silver Bullet)

Grew up just outside of Charlotte in Lancaster, SC. Got the best of both worlds (mustard in midlands SC and vinegar / pepper in NC)

All tastes good with bourbon

Depends on the time of year. If it is hot- burgers & coors light. If it is good football weather- gumbo & Knob Creek.

Prime rib straight on the gril - no prep. Take it off, liberal salt and pepper.

Beer...

...cold beer.
