4th and 25 decided the west as much as the the Florida/Ole Miss game did. If LSU had beaten Alabama, that would also have resulted in the final standing being a three way tie. In a three-way tie, Ole Miss would have won the west because the tie-breaker goes first to h2h. Ole Miss would have beaten both Alabama and LSU. But, quite frankly, saying the LSU/Alabama game didn't decide anything last year is just plain ignorant.
