OP, let me be serious for a second.
Do you remember when you were in grade school and there was this one kid who EVERYONE picked on and no matter how many times it happened, the kid would freak out and lose his mind about it?
That's your fanbase right now. If you ignored the trolling, it would be one thing but you guys are embracing it and asking for more of it when you freak out about things like this.
I was that kid for a little while growing up and my dad took me to the side one day and told me to stop taking myself so seriously and laugh with them. It was life-changing. I learned how to have a sense of humor and people stopped picking on me for the most part.
Your fanbase needs to do the same. But you won't because it's in you guys' blood to play the victim and carry a little-arse chip on your shoulders because big bro UNM is cheatin' and all that shite.
Take this FWIW.
