OM may have a shot at PJ if State takes Barron Dixon from GA instead.

Brassell- lives 20 miles from Oxford, has family at OM, and is our big money target. USP is OM's pipeline and for the top player since tig to not sign with OM is just a failure by OM.

as of last week- his coach seems to think he is a lock to go to State- and Pogue is a Bear lover

LINK

theres a link to highlights of 4 out of our 5 juco commitments. Some notes...

Stoudt: Has a cannon and a quick release. Reminds me a lot of Snead's abilities, just hope he has a better mind, which everyone says he's a student of the game so he should. I still dont see him stepping in and being better than Stanley whose been in our system for two years now. But if Stanely transfer he will be a great pick up if we decide to go with the pro style offense.

Ivan: His whole highlight film is him destroying receivers. He definitely brings the wood. I cant really tell how his covering skills are, but he's a physical DB and I dont feel as bad about offering him now.

Pena: Looks very quick and never stops running. I doubt he dominates or anything, but should be a nice run stopper. He has that quick first step like Powe does, but is in much better shape. I'd be happy if he just holds his own and clogs up the middle for two years with our DT situation.

Pendelton: You can really see his speed on the deep balls. He is extremely quick and closes on balls very well. He also knows when to turn around for the ball which is something special for an OM DB. I doubt he's very physical. He's pretty small and will probably get killed by the big receivers in the SEC. Still he will be a good back up and can really cover the deep ball better than anyone we've got.

I definitely think the juco route is the way for you guys- it may save you from going 0-8 in the SEC next year

JUCO help is what Jackie turned to when things fell apart in the early 2000s, and it ended up backfiring. with OM's attrition and locker room issues i can't help but think of how the situations are similiar.

We just need guys to not be holes out there. We will be decent offensively, just like this year. Its defense where we need help. We have some big time play makers in DT, Lockett, and Sawyer. We just need to not be god awful at safety and DT next year and our defense will be improved.

Nutt's just trying to save his job, he's not worried about the future. But if we have another shitty season you can kiss another good crutin class down the drain which hurts the future so in away juco's can help if they are a perfect fit like Trahan, Jackson, Fein etc. But its juco's like Dorsey that hurt us in the future. You just got to have balance.
