Do they release the response for all three sports at once? Or is this just football?

The NOA should cover all 3 and I would think the reply is the same.

The reply is the same? Oh ok I thought the NOA was basically outlining what they did wrong and what Ole Miss thinks the punishment should be. Then the NCAA responds with whether they agree or think it should be harsher.

I got my lube ready to go. One way or another, I will need it. My body is ready.

They're dropping it about 5pm on a holiday weekend.

That's not shady at all.

From what I have heard they do have to reply to each issue. Now if they accept it they don't just state accept but they still address the infraction. Working to that put it in the best light for the school.

If it's a big story it will still be reported on. If it's not, it won't be. The weekend won't really have much of an effect. Sports reporting doesn't exactly take weekends off.

I wonder how much of this is already negotiated between the school and the NCAA before the response even gets released. I wonder if all parties involved prefer to know what is going to happen before they ever let the public behind the curtain.

More than likely. With the Louisville stuff here that's what spawned their President in the middle of their basketball season to back out of the post-season. They received "feedback" from the NCAA, who basically let them know what they had received evidence wise.

There is a lot of working together that gose into the reply. If you look into the ULL or UNC NOA it lays it out pretty clearly. They actually have a meeting of the NCAA and Ole Miss at 60 days after the NOA is sent that they address a lot of issues at.

If they dropped it Monday would it change what's in it?

Neither does world news...the issue is that people take off...people travel, sit on the beach, barbecue, etc.

This is why you dump on Fridays...in particular, on holiday weekends.

I doubt the letter is particularly bad, but for them to release it on the eve of the most traveled holiday of this time of year is suspect.
