General Sherman has a better chance of getting back to Atlanta before Ole Miss.

Ole Miss needs to call up Chizik so they can learn how to actually get some hardware from their cheating. Even South Carolina has been to Atlanta.

It's humbling to interact with people such as yourself on this forum.

Don't you just love all the Ole Miss fans over the last two years sticking a finger in your eye saying "You guys just upset because Freeze is a threat."

For two years we had to put up with spin after spin and how they beat Alabama yada yada and how everyone is mad because they have the best recruiters in the nation. We had to listen how God-like Hugh Freeze is and why anyone who questions their program is mocking a decent christian man. How Bjork runs a clean department.

Now the writing is on the wall and look how fast they chime in with "Everyone cheats" and "We will be back" and everyone must fear them. Perhaps what really got them in trouble was their attitude. "We are the Harvard of the south!" Or maybe "We are ole miss by damn." They think so highly of themselves that getting lawyered up was going to save them. They deserve everything coming for being so damn arrogant and taunting everyone who challenged them. Fck OM.

I expect a bowl ban of at least a year or 2 and some vacated wins. They will probably get a scholarship reduction for about 4 years.

Then they will follow the Bama scenario. In year 5 they will get a ridiculous recruiting class like in 2012, but without cheating because they will have a bunch of open roster positions. They will be good in about 3 years sort of like last year, which puts their next legitimate chance around 2023.

I'm telling you right now that it won't happen this year but next year some of their athletes are going to demand a release. They were lied to and told nothing to worry about.

Sandwiched between Louisiana and Alabama. Poorest state in the Union. There aren't even 3 million people in the state. They have to divide the talent between two programs in the state.

The biggest issue the face now is that, "building" gets destroyed because the SEC West is so competitive. To do it the "right" way, they would need to build around peaking for a QB's senior season. But the growing pains would be so severe, they'd go 0-16 over a two year span again.

But that's not to say it is impossible. I think Gary Patterson would get to Atlanta if he spent his last decade in Oxford.

They've improved every year under Freeze and would've won the SEC last year if not for a freak play (thanks, Arkansas) so there's no reason to think they won't contend.

I would love for Ole Miss to somehow find a way to make it to Atlanta this year, just to see the melt from self-entitled Bama and LSU fans who think that going to the SECCG is their birthright. The only difference between Ole Miss's situation and every other school in this conference is that they got caught.

Ifs and buts. And even if they made it to Atlanta, they would have gotten steam rolled by Florida again.

And the point is, it won't continue without them recruiting at the same level they've recruited at. Why would you go to Ole Miss over a plethora of other programs?

There's no room for reasonable, thoughtful, unbiased observation on this forum. This is the Rant. Flaming, name calling, and general bitch whining is all that's recognized.
