This is true. Until proven otherwise on a consistent basis, the road to the division and conference title goes through, and stops, in Tuscaloosa.
As an LSU fan I want to win against Bama as much as anyone else. Gotta take care of business against everyone else, though. That's how Bama built that resume under Bear and now under Saban. Gotta meet and beat all comers.

That LSU offense that didn't score against Bama sure as hell scored a lot against Ole Miss. it was the Ole Miss offense that couldn't score in that game.

UT has beaten BAMA more than anyone. The series is simply unlike any other I know of and streaky as hell. It doesn't help that UT is only now getting back to normal talent levels.
There's no mental block with BAMA precisely because of that steak's nature which has always gone for long periods for both teams. Also, we simply haven't had the talent until recently - nearly pulled it off in 2015 but depth and experience bit us in the arse. That said, there was a mental block with UF but last season's win helped a great deal.
