It's taking him a while to get his response ready for that one.

That is true. Those fans are idiots too. LSU has rivals in ole miss and Arkansas. Can't really say Tulane anymore because they don't play each other and it wasn't very competitive anymore

And I'd say the ole miss rivalry is hanging by a thread right now

There's an entire generation that hates every fiber of our being and will espouse that hate to everyone that listens and vice versa. We are natural rivals

Start a new thread stating that and see how your cousins handle that statement...

No. The win you got last year was hanging by a thread. 08 & 09 happened not too long ago. Just sayin...

Rivalries are weird. Vandy has never, to my knowledge, really gotten "up" for particular SEC games aside from Kentucky and Tennessee. And Tennessee has owned us (alum), so they don't get as "up" as we do.
I'd think Ole Miss fans get all worked up over State, LSU, and maybe Arky. I'm sure LSU fans dislike Ole Miss (as in this thread), but they have much bigger fish to fry themselves. Unfortunately, none of the big fish considers LSU one of their top two rivalries.
And on another thread I saw a State fan calling Auburn a rivalry. On Auburn's list of rivalries, State would go somewhere around #8. In order: Bama, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU (now), Florida, Georgia Tech, Arkansas, then we could talk about State.

I wouldn't say that after LSU made a trophy for the game a couple years back.

OM is favored by 3.5. I read the analysis thread on the OM board. I thought it was well researched. I think the biggest thing comes down to QB play for OM. What does Wallace look like coming out of camp?
Vandy was able to win last year with an avg QB, 2 good recievers (one which won't be playing Thurs. night) and without Stacy.

It is not like those fans who think that the Vandy game is going to be a walk in the park is a distinct minority. Given recent history, and lets be clear it is recent, one would think that the more boastful, taking Vandy for granted contingency would be the exception.

The first thing that stuck out to me was ole miss has lost to Vandy 37 times and how close that series is.
Here's the thing about the OM-Vandy series. Yes they've been very successful the last ten years, but Vandy won the first 19 meeting up until 1938 back when they were good. The series really hasn't been close until recently. I remember how absolutely outraged everyone in my family was when we lost to them in 1999.

Who here thinks it'll be a cake walk? Where are these random boastful OM fans who proclaim these things?

It sounds like your IRL Ole Miss fans are mouth-breathers.... if I were you I'd reassess my desire to discuss football with them.
You are welcome to talk football with the realistic Rebtards here. We won't BS you

Point taken. So what do you think ole miss' record is after their first 7 games?
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they beat Vandy so that's gonna put them at 2-5 for me

Of course you do you're an LSU fan.

Real life ole miss fans talking smack before they've actually done anything. I don't mind ole miss and actually pull for them some but damn their fans are premature ejaculators
Real life Ole Miss fans still know we're in rebuilding process. We're expecting 7 to 9 wins this season (I personally am expecting 8). 2013 is not the year we make it to Atlanta. That's 2014 or 2015. It just seems to me you don't know what you're talking about.

I'm not sure what greasy cajun rock you've been under, but mosst of us know we've got a tough game coming up against Vandy. I think we're more talented. I think we have more depth. But I also know it's the first game and we're playing at Vandy and they've certainly had our number. I look for us to pull away late.

Ok southeast Missouri tech a&m is a given win. That's one.
Vandy-toss up
Texas-toss up. I'd favor Texas. At home for them and won by 100 las yr.
Bama-loss
Auburn-toss up. I like auburn at home. Really thin Gus will get them turned around in a hurry like the last time he was there.
A&M-loss. Contingent on JM status
LSU- close loss. I think ole miss will be demoralized by the time they play LSU
