You get a 13th regular season game when you play UH there. Is a 13th game really a good deal? Army has been done this a few times. Resulted in an 0-13 seaaon. Thank you Coach Berry. Worst Army Head Coach ever.

Not hating on OM but if this comes to pass the Hawaii exemption should be rescinded, the purpose of this rule was to help Hawaii with scheduling, NOT rewarding cheats with a pseudo bowl game.
It is probably time the AD at OM put down the shovel and stop digging, this is not going to be looked upon favorably.

Why punish a school for legal scheduling? Nobody is forcing UH into scheduling the games. Looks like OM trying to increase west coast exposure. Recent games against Fresno St, opening game next yr against Cal, future games against Hawaii. Freeze has stated from the start he wanted more national exposure (insert cheating joke here) and seems to be targeting west coast.

I don't think OM should be punished for this, just that this was not the intent and the exemption becomes questionable if it is used for this purpose by anyone, not just OM.

Can the black bears afford the trip with 3 sports on probation (if not worse)?
Speaking of which, how does Bjork still have a job?

So entirely get rid of a rule because of some bad actors abusing it. That makes zero sense and hurts Hawaii dramatically for doing nothing.
Could just add a stipulation going forward that any school under a bowl ban cannot schedule the game after the bowl ban has been handed down. Much more reasonable solution.

Not really, simply scheduling the game prior to the ban being handed down is exactly what is happening right now.
Hawaii is well aware of the situation at this point and if they choose to be complicit then it is not exactly doing nothing on their part.
They were given an accommodation no one else has to help themselves due to travel difficulties, not provide pseudo bowl games for cheats. If they abuse it they can and should lose it.
Had this series been scheduled prior to now it would be very different.
If the OM AD can not recognize the optics of it both to fans and the NCAA he is dumber than he looks.

Ole Miss should schedule some games in Canada so the players can see where they'll be playing after college.
Pure gold.

Is the Ole Miss program in trouble or are we making more out of this than it truly is?

I'm amazed at the amount of butthurt by some people in this thread. Why do so many people care about who Ole Miss schedules?
