a bank board member paying recruits under the table looks very very very bad... or say someone like a Sanderson Farms that is all bulldogs has someone on retainer that is a John doe... i don't think they will take kindly to that and take their money elsewhere. It has to be something that is going to seriously break them... and not based on "projected losses" it is someone that is gonna feel it directly unlike rebel rags whose profits are likely to increase. It could also be something involving reputation. There could be multiple phone calls from a certain public figure arranging travel for employees of The Gold Club in memphis to oxford for recruiting weekends. something like that... or it could be nothing at all just some jack leg that wants to abuse the system.

If you ever have some spare time, do a Google search on Bank of Rosedale and some guys who went to prison. One guy went by "Axel" on the OM Spirit & I remember the day he got on the board to tell everybody that he was going away for a while. Surreal

Is there a Taco Bell guy? I thought he was referring to the Blindside where that lil shite says "My dad played point guard for OM, now he owns like a million Taco Bells."

Definitely not division, conference, or national chwmpionships. Maybe mississippi state championships? But it's gonna be hard to do that with punishment that gonna all but cripple them.

So the consensus of the Tiger Board is the boosters are Archie and Sean Touhy.
That's OK, we'll still have Olivia and LeeAnn.

quote:I love Archie. I was a big Archie fan when he played and was a big Ole Miss fan growing up. We had little to cheer about in the late 60s. That being said though, kind of makes sense that Archie could be involved in creating the "network" as he and the Fed Ex guy were the "search committee" when Freeze came out of nowhere. They needed a capable coach but one that would coach and not ask questions about players and how they got them. I have no idea whether or not Archie is caught up in this but I think he is clever enough that he would erase any paper trail back to him. You mention that you still have LeeAnn. She is so gung-ho , I could see her involvement before I could see Sean. But honestly, I do not see how the Ole Miss old money would risk disassociation but rather the new money that wants other fans to know that they are the big dogs now and are rather reckless and flamboyant with their support. You know, the chest thumper types.

Lance Armstrong had the All-American wholesome hero image at one time, too.

I mean do you people just make shite up and think everybody is dumb enough to believe it and not fact check. No wonder you dumbasses believe your lying administration, Yancy, Chuck, and the like. Damn you people are stupid.

Do you remember Archie's day with the Saints? It's a wonder he can even get out of bed much less walk. I would have tried to do the same thing for my 22 y/o son.

Well said. I honestly don't think Archie has anything to do with paying croots, setting up bagmen, etc., they are known too well nationally as a family to hurt their name and reputation. On the other hand, the new "boosters" that are trying to earn their stripes and make it known who they are, are definitely the ones who I expect to get disassociated because they treated this like the damn Wild West (no pun intended).

She's the female trainer who was assaulted by Peyton Manning at UT. The Mannings have gone out of their way to punish her ever since she came forward.
As to Eli, some call it protecting a son. Others see it as yet another case of the Mannings demanding that the rules not apply to them
