there is really no down side to taking AG if you're Auburn... he's gonna pay his own way and hasn't earned a scholarship yet. if he comes in and shows out, then he can make a run at a starting spot in 2015 and beyond.

he's got some nagging injuries he needs to heal, I believe... and needs to develop physically... redshirting will give him that opportunity (should've RSed in 2013 more than likely).

yep

meh. all OL need to develop physically in order to be ready for the NFL. but Golson is already physically strong enough and big enough to play in the SEC. he's not a 280 pounder who needs to beef up. he needs to develop mentally moreso than physically. I'm not sure if he will be able to get the reps he needs to make that jump, but we'll see.

he needs to develop physically in order to take the 13/14 game beating all OLs take... he wasn't there last year and it affected his play.

i thought all along going to OM was probably a mistake b/c he was getting put in a bad situation -- being forced to start on a pretty bad OL b/c they had nobody else. 99% of OLs coming out of HS need that year or two to develop.... Golson will get his... just a year later than most.

regardless, he played a bunch as a true frosh b/c OM's OL had no depth.
