No at the time OM had better wins than Bama. Bama's best win was over #23 while OM's best win was over #6 Bama. They favor wins over losses and head to heads IMO.
Ok. So if we beat Bama will you then think it is insane to have us behind either OM or Bama?

You obviously didn't watch the game. LSU was inside the 5 twice and came away with 0 points.

and? Not scoring is not scoring. We were inside the 5 twice against Auburn last week and came away with nothing. Doesn't change the fact we didn't score.

I never said State was a close game. But there is an argument that LSU should be ranked higher than OM, just as there is an argument OM should be higher than LSU. Their fans are incredibly sensitive right now. Like I said, 50 years of being a crap program will do that to you.

In this case, maybe. Depends on how y'all win. If it's complete domination, then certainly. If y'all win in the same way Auburn did last week, not necessarily.

That's a good question. I think LSU would definitely be above OM and probably above Bama. You would have two wins over top 10 teams (at the time of the win) while Bama has none and OM has only 1.

eta: I wouldn't think it's insane if y'all were ahead of us now. I'm just trying to explain my interpretation of how they are ranking teams.

This whole shite show started because the committee had OM ranked way too fricking high. Only thing either of us can do at this point is piss in other teams Cheerios. Relax and enjoy the rest of the season

And head to head wins over the two listed teams. if we win and arent ahead of bama and OM then i will be truly confused on what the hell they look at

Ole Miss is a couple of plays away from being undefeated and probably #2 in the nation. LSU has lost two games in blow out fashion. Yes, the final score of the State game looks good but anyone who watched the game could see that LSU was dominated the entire game.

I don't think head to head matters as much as the wins themselves in this ranking. Which I really like because the best teams don't always win and i think the human element injected into the rankings accounts for that.

LSU will bring up the final score, despite the fact that their stadium was empty.

Yeah, they all know that they're completely full of shite when they bring up the State stat. Seriously, wasn't State playing their third string at that point?

Except y'all never dominated Ole Miss and trailed most of the game until late.
