The Tulane baseball Twitter account shared a photo of a baseball it said had been thrown at the team during batting practice and had “I took my Chevy to the levee but the levee was gone” inscribed on it. “Katrina ’06” was also written on the ball, referencing the 2005 hurricane.
The second-seeded Tulane eliminated the top-seeded Rebels with a 6-5 win afterward.

I hope there won't be any of that nonsense. Some things have gotten out of control but hopefully making jokes about tragedies where people died will always be frowned upon.

I dislike OM as much as the next guy, but I feel like this is making a mountain out of a molehill. Some younger folks, though they should have known better, tried to make a joke about something without having a personal appreciation of the severity of the situation.
