Serious question, with a front loaded schedule of cupcakes, just how overrated is this team and Kiffin ?

I knew when LSU outs cored them 45-3 after the first quarter they were a paper tiger. Auburn may have backed off after seeing the rout at Arkansas and the beating they took from Miss State.

The scripted plays never work in the second half after the defense adjusts. Is Kiffin really just a good self promoter but a very mediocre coach ?

Ole Miss is good but not as good as they thought. Everyone on here knew they had cupcakes on the front end and that the back end would catch up to them.

Judkins is a beast though.

As an Auburn fan watching Kiffin, each week was getting harder to get excited for the potential hire.

Same with Freeze. He looked good against Arkansas then bombed these last 2 weeks in easy games.

Yeah I think most people if they were being honest realized our schedule was a joke. I remember having conversations with someone in late september that it felt like we were in the preseason still. We lost to the only two good teams on our schedule and then lost to two other mediocre/bad teams. Not a good look for Kiffin.

We played more freshman this year then everyone else in the SEC other than A&M.

Freshman QB, RB, Tackles, and a patchwork defense.

This was always a big rebuilding year for us.

Finishing 8-4 after starting 7-0 was certainly disappointing, but going 8-4 in a rebuilding year isn't the worst thing in the world.

I think auburn dodged a bullet, watching Kiffin lose those last four out of five I’m seeing why he got canned at usc. Take away Corrall and I think he is going to struggle.

One qb can make a coach look good for two years see jimbo, and Mullen with dak.

They haven’t beat anyone with a winning record.

This is Kiffins 3rd contract in 3 years.

At some point Ole Miss has to say “show me something!”

His trophy case is empty. He hasn’t won shite. The man deserves no extension or pay raise. frick Jimmy Sexton.

Myth #1. Not a rebuilding year. Kiffin will live and die by the portal. You had plenty of talent. What you lacked was a coach concentrating on his job

Kiffin seems to run scripted plays the first quarter, after the defense adjusts they get shut out in the second half.

Their run defense is the worst I’ve seen in college this year.

I’m not sure what he does to earn his salary honestly.

If they fail to win 7 next year, things are going to get interesting. He’s got a much harder schedule.

We hit the transfer portal hard to fill gaps, but we played a ton of freshman and lost basically everyone from last years team.

Total snaps by true freshmen in the SEC this season:

Texas A&M - 1267

Ole Miss - 1240

Kentucky - 981

Vanderbilt - 979

LSU - 960

Georgia - 902

Florida - 730

Alabama - 696

South Carolina - 683

Missouri - 484

Tennessee - 427

Auburn - 419

Arkansas - 197

Mississippi State - 46

His biggest problem, honestly, is that he scrips the first 10-20 plays and we look good on offense. Then Weis Jr. calls the plays live during the game and our offense looks like garbage.

Kiffin needs to hire a new OC or take over play calling duties for the full game.

After he pushed for another raise, he seemingly didn’t earn I wonder what the mood will be next year if he goes 6-6/7-5. Looking at that schedule that may be in the ball park.

Thing that really sucks is knowing your coach is going to hold your program hostage on a yearly basis if a suitor comes up to bat while also delivering 8-4 results in part because he is creating distractions by flirting with those suitors.

I think he kind of hurt his stock in my eyes with his shenanigans, but I still would have been happy with the hire if Auburn had landed him.

Yeah his actions the last couple weeks of the season definitely soured the fans.

A 6-6 or 7-5 season certainly won't get him fired next year, but the seat could get a little worm. Without a scandal though I don't see anything happening to him (other than him leaving for Bama /Texas) for at least 3 years.

I think that’s why he was looking to leave, next year he may struggle because the schedule goes from cupcakes to much tougher games. His stock will fall considerably.

It’s a what have you don’e for me lately world. 6-6 won’t get you fired from a program like ole miss, it it might at auburn.
