at coachcrisp.

I'm an avid baseball fan, but I think that baseball players are the biggest fricking pussies in pro sports. They have massive egos but then should someone "show them up" or hurt their feelings, they get their panties all in a wad over it. Thankfully, all this bullshite "etiquette" whining will be dead before long with players like Puig, Fernandez, and Harper bucking the trend.

Most of the OM posters you've talked to in this thread played baseball at the high school or college level, I know that for a fact, so STFU and move on to something else.
Son, from reading these posts, I doubt that you know much of anything pertaining to baseball to be a fact. Try to find something that you know jack about, then comment on that...if there is anything out there.

You're probably right. It's a shame to see the lack of self discipline and respect for athletics in general go by the wayside. When the "look at me!" mentality takes over, the team concept heads south. We have already seen it in the NBA and NFL, now baseball will probably assume that identity....it's a shame.

I blame the older generations of coaches who didn't teach these kids humility.

There was never more of a gentleman in baseball than Stan Musial. He never showed anybody up, and yes, I saw him...he autographed a baseball for me when I was a kid, and so did Mayes.

You can't be that stupid. Showing emotion and showing up the other player/team are 2 entirely different things. You didn't see him pose at the plate, flip his bat, or peacock around the bases. Having emotion in athletics is great, just know how and when to display it. It's not supposed to be an in-your-face thing.
