I'd have to check the trophy. I doubt there's another team on it.

Ole Miss's biggest win in the last quarter century was a 1 point victory over Florida that only gets press because it pissed Tebow off and made Florida an unstoppable juggernaut for the rest of the year.

Damn you're dumb..

Homer post of the day

What other big wins do they have- a couple of Egg Bowls, a Cotton Bowl or two? Its not like they've won the SEC since...(googling)...Holy crap its been half century-- Kentucky's won a SEC title more recently than the Black Bears.

Man, integration was kind of the end for Ole Miss football wasn't it?

Boise State-35 Bears-17
Mark it down. Anytime the Bears have expectations and start talking noise they crap the bed. The Bears first trip to Atlanta since 1971 will go down as a dismal defeat to start a 6-6 season and Duck Dynasty Bowl appearance in Shreveport.

Ole Miss has never won a major national championship. What years are you guys claiming? 59,60 and 62? You have zero AP or UPI national championships.

When Auburn starts claiming bogus championships, Ole Miss, TAMU, Bama, And UGA Should just STFU.

Please. The NCAA disagrees with you. 59 and 62 years was pretty much universally agreed that Ole Miss was the best team except for some goofy reporters.

1959 Ole Miss was one of the single most dominant teams in the history of the sport. Ole Miss outscored opponents 350-21 that year. They ended 10-1 and crushed LSU (their only loss) in the bowl game.

1960 Ole Miss was 10-0-1 and Minnesota was 8-2. Who the hell would think that Minnesota was a better team?

1962 Ole Miss was undefeated.

Case closed.

Not true. They won The Football Writer's title 1960.

The 1959 and 62 claimed titles were claimed way after the fact in the 90's when the NCAA allowed rating systems to be used since they didn't have an "official" champion. Syracuse won both major polls in 59, and USC in 62. These are not national championships for Ole Miss. That's like using RPI to claim a title. When a third of your players are dead when you first claim it, it doesn't count.

1958-62 Ole Miss and LSU were like Oklahoma/Nebraska of the early 70s and USC/Bama in late 70s and Miami/FSU in 90s.

If not for LSU, Ole Miss may have had 3 NCs during that time period.
Of course, OM blocked us from winning again in '59.
