Bear friend told me their media told them that they have 3 high rated 4* that are "silent commits". They haven't been right about anything in about 4 years but it's hilarious that they're having to use the secret commit line in April to keep people excited.

Just a few good kids keeping their options open....and their pocket books.

I didn't realize it was that bad. The perception alone has been the equivalent of the death penalty. This is going set them back for years- SMU-style

UGA only has 2, with 1 being the #1 kicker, nationally.

Fixed it for ya.

I will add that, their kicker from '16 was a red shirt Freshman that was 26 of 26 on extra points and 78% on field goals (4 in the Kentucky game, including the game winner as time expired). I don't think kicker was a position of need for them in the '18 class.

Then again, since Blankenship wasn't good enough to put on scholarship, I guess the new guy will have the position wrapped up as soon as he arrives on campus.

I'll laugh my arse off if the NCAA drags this out as long as possible then delivers a mild slap on the wrist. The damage that has been done by the uncertainty of this sword of Damocles hanging over their head is almost as bad as the death penalty. If the NCAA used a "time served" and a stern warning mentality, the irony of the actual damage done compared to the sentence severity might drive the Rebears over the edge.
