Ward, 21, was pulled over at 1:13 a.m. on Jan. 19 and charged with DUI (first offense) of other substance. What that means, a Monroe County Justice Court clerk said, is that he was under the influence of something besides alcohol (a broad category which would include both prescription medication and marijuana). He appeared in Monroe County Justice Court Wednesday, providing proof of insurance as well as evidence a broken tag light had been fixed.
