The answer lies within the question

I'm not saying he made any particular mistakes in managing that game last night (for a change). I'm saying ultimately he is always to blame. Its the nature of coaching. He recruited all these players and is responsible for their development.

This is true. I was not impressed w/ their starter, and I'm sick of hearing state fans and even some OM fans act like ULL is an MLB squad.

and that the best hitting team in the SEC couldnt take out a mid week starter if he pitched for an SEC team

Good. Throw up our toenails. No one has said they are a MLB team. They are just better than anyone that we played this year - which includes your team.

Thus far they are. They still have to beat us one more time.

They can definitely hit but I think they would be a 40ish win team in the sec. That's still a really good team but they're definitely beatable. Ellis pitched his worst game ever, Boz dropped a pop up leading to a run, the balk call when there was no balk leading to a run- take away these once in a season/career plays and we win last night. shite happens though. Ole miss is still more talented and can definitely win the next two if they play their best, regardless of how ULL plays

This season they would have probably won the SEC. I do think in the regular season away from their stadium they lose a couple of series. If they played Vandy, Ole Miss, LSU, Arkansas and State on the road they lose 3 of those 5 in a weekend series.

ETA: Holy shite Rebman, I've never seen you respond seriously to a thread.

I still can't wrap my mind around j state beating them 1-0. I think some elite high schools would beat j state

Their pitcher was throwing 60-70 the entire night. When you see 87-90 all season long then see that, it screws up with your timing. Plus you're not going to hit any home runs with a ball that is going under 70 mph. There were a lot of fly outs that game.

we whipped your arse on your own field during your super bull dog weekend or whatever it was. You also got swept by LSU. They are probably better than Holy Cross though.

We were 2 and 2 v. OM. We were 0-2 v. ULL
