I think he is right and Bitch Jones needs a raise for getting close. 8-4 gets you a raise at Elevenessee.

Would have been funny to see a SECCG between teams that Arkansas beat on the road.

If Florida had been required to forfeit the Ole Miss win, as they should have been, then Ole Miss and UT would be playing in the SECCG.

Two plays can change a season. If not for a 4th-and-25 lateral and 4th-and-14 TD pass, Ole Miss and Tennessee would be in SEC title game.

Yeah well Bama was one "bounce off the helmet" play from being undefeated. But, who gives a shite when we made it anyway due to our pig brothers up north pulling off their miracle.

Damn shame we haven't seen this in a long time. He missed everything past the Bama game last year, and may have played 3 or 4 games this season. He played just enough to not be eligible for a redshirt either. He's basically to us what Keith Marshall has been to UGA. Shows a ton of promise in his freshman year, and then is hampered by injuries for the rest of his career.

Where are you getting "should have" from?

The NCAA punished Grier based on their rules?

Are you saying you don't like the rules?

Yea, and for the second time in a decade bama would go to the championship/ playoffs without winning its division, let alone the league championship.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Has nothing to do with Florida, who I think is fairly clean overall.

No. They don't do forfeits. Florida would only have vacated their wins, which would have helped Tennessee, but not Ole Miss. Losses still count.

Ole Miss was lucky the game ever went to OT, so it works both ways.

Didn't always work that way and I don't like how it's changed. If you cheat and win, you also cheated the other team, so vacating the win isn't sufficient, imo. At the very least, they should also vacate the loss, too, but then that makes the game meaningless, so they won't do it. Forfeits punish the bad guy and reward the victim, who might have won a fair game.

I didn't like it when they first started vacating games and I still don't today. However, I know I'm in the minority, but I think the rest of you are wrong.

I just can't imagine how pissed off I'd be if I were Ole Miss and had an illegal 4th down conversion lose us the game AND Atlanta.
