Nobody considers Texas a powerhouse at this point either though.

Just wondering why some on here feel like Ole Miss can go into Austin and beat a team they lost by 30+ to in Oxford last year. I realize the Rebels improved throughout the year but they can hardly hardly be considered a powerhouse at this point. Not a flame but would like to hear some logic as to why this will happen

1) COMPLETELY new system on offense, defense and special teams.

2) We saw ZERO defense and poor offense from both previous teams, UTEP and Cen Ark and therefore, we were not sure how our defense and offense would function against experience and talent.

3) We started and played a shite ton of freshman and sophomores last season who literally had to learn how to win (go fricking frick yourself in your fricking face, HDN)

4) Texas didn't have a shite ton of premium talent, but they did have a bunch of big, experienced players who knew their roles in a established system on both sides of the ball.

6) Texas played well early in the season and faded late. No one would argue that they improved over the course of the season.

7) We got better as the season wore on, MUCH better. A healthy Bo Wallace beats Vandy and LSU.

8) Had we gotten Texas late in the year, it would have EASILY been a 50/50 game.

9) It is my opinion that Texas is going to be the same team they were a year ago and that we are going to have improved depth, experience and confidence. We are also going to have some additional wrinkles and packages for UT on offense and defense.

All this adds up to that old adage....

Go frick ya self, we win.
