Those would look great with Bama' all-whites.

And generally, I despise the all-white look

Perfectly represents the current state of confusion and ineptitude at that university.

Reading one of the notes under LSU, I had just started following LSU closely, but wasn't Dinardo hired way, not fired by Vandy?

As far as the "one-off" helmets go, LSU November 28, 2009 at home against Arky is tops.

Standard design goes to Bama.

I really like the interlocking UK myself. Idk, just something about it.

One thing that really kinda shocked me was that maroon helmet/white facemask/banner logo on MSU didn't start til 2011.

I wish aTm would go back to white face masks with their helmets instead of gray.

I wasn't alive for it, but I like to think our 1969 helmet actually had a question mark on the side. That thought makes me happy for some reason.

Ole Miss should go back to the helmets with the awesome looking "rebel" on them. Kentucky should permanently wear the ones with the outline of the state and the nice looking "cat" on them. Boring letters and script are lame as hell.

Mizzou needs to bring back the "M" far better looking than what they have now

I don't understand why so many have a hard on over those bland helmets. There literally is nothing less creative. School nickname is Tigers, so it is only fitting that a cool looking tiger is on them.

Honestly, Kentucky (with a couple of exceptions) has had some of the best looking helmets ever.

Tradition, man. It's one of the pillars of Southern football. Elegance in simplicity isn't just a meaningless phrase for us, and, while we may admire some of trendy new designs, we aren't going to throw out the traditional ones just because Phil Knight and co. have hard-ons for circling the color wheel with their dicks.

If something can be improved, then I say do it, regardless of "tradition". It's not 1990 anymore. The only "tradition" I remember from those blah "M" helmets is a lot of losing.

If you can define "improved" with regards to football helmets in an indisputable empirical fashion, I will gladly agree with you.

But my bet is I'll never have to worry about being put in that position.

Well, we keep the helmets the same as we tend to put more time into more important things, such as winning conference championships and nattys (tradition).

Maybe Mizzou should try this approach.
