I mean the truth is Texass historically struggles with teams that have anything close in terms of talent.

In the SEC they will never have a big advantage over any SECw team. Not a single one.

Which team in B12 has consistently been close to Texass I. Terms of talent? OU.

Texas 8&4 lost to App. St. and then beat Arkansas. Yes, they would fit right in.

Overlook tejas if you like but they are only missing two things to make them competitive year in and year out.

1- Joining the Sec ( gonna bolster crootin)
2- A good head coach ( His name isnt sark)

Should probably let a fan base that didn't almost lose to an FCS school make this thread.

I think so, KSU is a salty team that is coached very well. If you don't play well, OU did not, you could get beat. KSU is kinda like 8&4, if you mess around and don't put em away, you could lose.
Now are we ready to compete with UGA and Bama for titles yet? No, we are 2 good crootin cycles from that. Joining the SEC is only going to help with that.

Are you talking about the KSU team that lost 17-10 to Tulane 2 weeks ago?

We’re we supposed to go undefeated? Wonder what the other expansion teams’ records were in their last season in the Big 12…

Texas A&M 2011: 7-6
Missouri 2011: 8-5 (not bad, Mizzou)

For good measure:
Arkansas 1991: 6-6

Are you talking about when LSU had 39 scholarship players, an interim HC and WR at QB? The game LSU accepted last minute because aggie puss'd out?

If Tulane held KSU to 10 points in their house, how did Venables the D guru get boat raced by 41 in Norman?

Because they played like shyte. It happens. The took the Rat Poison after thumping a crap Neb team. OU isn't were it needs to be, no question. They will be soon enough.

Outside of Bama and Georgia they can play with anyone else in the SEC...let's be realistic here...two great programs and then 8 middle of the road programs...then the not so good programs bring up the rear.

You're pretty close. I'd put Oklahoma with Tennessee, Ole Miss, Kentucky, TAMU, and Arkansas, in weight class this season. I'd give LSU a puncher's chance to join that tier, starting with results on Saturday and certainly if they handle the vols next week..
