I'd rather have the Sooners than the Aggits or the Milquetoast Tigers. They're a real football school.

Only takes one vote No by any member to blackball a team that is trying to join.
A&M would never vote yes on The Sooners or the Longhorns.
They should have joined when the had a chance. That ship has sailed.

Message boards are the worst... OU would be a great addition to the SEC. All 2 of my trips to Norman were fun and extremely positive. Great football atmosphere, good fans, storied tradition.

OU was a light in the Big 12 darkness. Plus I want more chances to beat their arse 78-0 and shut em up.

You would hypothetically have the 3rd largest endowment in the SEC; impressive, until you consider the fact that ours is more than 10 times larger.

Your endowment came from the Permanent University Fund, which was created by the state legislature for THE University of Texas. You had to beg and play political games to get your slice of our $.

I respect the SEC but OU will be good regardless of conference, these new "SEC" members Ag and Mizzou can hate on the Big 12 all they want. OU is still daddy

True.

But if OU wants to remain winning 10+ games a year, they better stay put and not fathom joining SEC.

It's funny/sad that you Sooners are even getting your hopes up. But what's even funnier/sadder is that you think this is a real possibility.

It isn't. It never will be.

The only thing you're better at historically or otherwise than A&M is football. Which ironically, is a good reason why you won't ever be invited. Nobody wants to play a top 15 team in every conference game.

Furthermore, comparing yourselves to A&M is plain silly. We are your betters in every way; No non football related metric qualifies you to shine our boots. You would hypothetically have the 3rd largest endowment in the SEC; impressive, until you consider the fact that ours is more than 10 times larger. In no scenario would we ever be substitutes for one another.

But by all means, keep dreaming!

You do know when the OU fans were chanting SEC , that they were making fun of us, mocking us, and not asking to join?

Go away. Have fun in the big Texas conference that will dissolve in the next few years.

and the only reason aggies have an endowment is that aggies agreed in court in the 1920's that they are a branch of UT

Just curious, what was that case? Thanks in advance for a legitimate citation.

I disagree with this. I think they'd make an excellent addition and compete year in and year out for the SEC championship. They recruit well, have a proven head coach, and play SEC teams very well. (Thrashing of auburn, 1 TD loss to LSU,etc)
