it stinks that while other teams were playing in championship games and getting players hurt, oSU was sitting at home risking nothing. i.e. Bama lost its third leading tackler and a huge part of its defense for the year.

This statement right here is why Ohio State should be a lock for the playoff. They fricking played everyone.
From tMSB on an 8 team playoff. States it well.

See Bama 2011.

Don't think we had a playoff then.
(and do you remember what had to happen for Bama to get there? Everybody lost. OkSU didn't play in a championship game and was the only other team with a beef)

Don't think anyone was saying Bama should've gone in over the team that won their own division.

TRANSLATION: The Buckeyes are the only team that could conceivably match up and compete with The Crimson Tide for 4 qtrs...and I want no fricking part of that bullshite.

Exactly. Lsu's defense gave hurts a ton of trouble and Ohio state's defense is even better. Ohio state has the playmakers on offense to challenge bama. Love watching urban vs saban

That doesn't change the fact that Bama was doing this

Among the two other teams that were under consideration, Stanford & Oklahoma State, Alabama played the same amount of regular season games. So yeah, it was kinda bullshite that LSU had to play that extra game but its not like sitting out gave Alabama a leg up among everyone else who was vying for that spot to challenge LSU.
In fact, not playing that last weekend probably cost Trent Richardson the Heisman.
