Advanced stats say the two best teams in the country are playing in N.O.

Bloody hell - Alabama's the only team rated top 3 in efficiency on both offense and defense. If we even had decent FG kicking this year, we'd be #1 by an insane margin.

Actually OSU's kicker is pretty bad too...like 75%

I don't know if OSU has the team this year to do it. Going into the year, I thought 10-2 was a good year WITH braxton Miller as qb. To get to the playoff in what I thought was a semi-rebuilding project is great.

Right there with you brother. Alabama was expected to be in a rebuilding year as well - which is why a lot of Alabama fans seem happier with this team than championship teams in the past. We sorta expected those to win - this one keeps exceeding expectations.

Don't let anyone know

I always thought 2015 (2016 if Miller hadn't been hurt b/c next year would have been a new qb but we all see how well barrett played) were years where OSU should do big things.

It would be nice if the guy who started the SEC dominance, Meyer, against OSU, would end it with...OSU

I think most of us expected Coker to win the starting job, and assume to win 10-11 games this year total. Next year the defense was expected to be stout, but the offense was likely to be slow to get going.

I'm not sure about the offense now, but we'll likely lose 7/11 starters on offense, including most of the OL. Barring an OL that just gels together like crazy, I cannot see us repeating as SEC champs next year even with a defense that will be insanely good in the front 7. I'm expecting 2016, though, to be a standout year on offense.

Yep. With 22 freshmen and sophomores in the two deep for Ohio State we might be able to expect more of these matchups in the future.

Interesting fact. Including this years class two schools have had top 5 recruiting classes each year for the last four years. Obviously Alabama at #1 each year. Ohio State is the other school. Talent isn't an issue but experience may be the problem.

I think these are two of the youngest teams in the country as well. Phil Steele had Alabama 107th in returning experience, and Ohio State 109th.
