LF will skull frick them, so let's harp on how bad LSU's passing game

LSU fans are setting themselves up. One player does not make a team, especially when that player is a RB. Too many corndogs in one basket.

I'm confused. Is this a melting over what people have said about Harris thread, or a bragging about Fournette thread?

So, you actually think LF is all we have?

I love how any team that has a star player only has said star player.

nevermind that LSU finishes in the top 5 in recruiting almost every year and has at least 3-4 projected first rounders currently on this team

I haven't seen anything to suggest otherwise. Don't even pretend the gameplan isn't "shut down Fournette, make Harris win the game". This isn't rocket surgery, yet it's easier said than done, that's the rub.

I've always thought Harris could be a great QB, but he really does not seem to be processing. Here is his 2014 production compared to his 2015 production:

quote:

2015: 29-47 for 302 yards, 61.7 %, 6.43 yds/att, 2 TDs, 0 picks, 3 sacks, 129.7 passer rating
2014: 25-45 for 452 yards, 55.6 %, 10.04 yds/att, 6 TDs, 2 picks, 3 sacks, 175 rating

Did not read....he is a very marginal QB who is barely entrusted to throw past the LOS and has HS progression skills. Even the 1 long pass play against Syracuse he under threw the ball and if the DB hadn't been a clueless gash it likely would have been picked off or at least batted down (good play tracking the ball by WR who I think was Dural). I would suggest you just deal with a great run game and a very marginal dink & dunk game.

Harris hasn't proven he can win a game when LF isn't producing. It may not come to a point where they ever have to since LF is a beast. However, I would think that Ole Miss and Bama will stop the run, and then it will get interesting.

LSU should be able to see what Harris can do in some game soon (likely this weekend in the second half)

pretty much the truth though. We have some WR's who should be great in theory, but they aren't very physical, don't get good separation, and drop way to many of the few passes that make it to them. Our o-line is solid, but not as epic as many LSU fans would lead you to believe, Harris is still a work in progress and may be very good one day, that day is not here yet.

Maybe we're not USING all of our weapons, I'll give you that.

But LSU is not a 1-man team.

I am not sure what LSU football everyone has been watching, but BH has improved every week. Last week I saw LF go out with a minor injury when Cuse was creeping back in. Next thing I saw was BH take over the game and two passes later, touchdown, and we were back up and cruising. BH will win us games in the future, do not doubt it. He is a play maker.

BTW, why care what other people on a chat board think of your QB.
