He might make them "Houston Nutt" competitive, but I don't see how he will be able to beat the top teams with average athletes. I think a school like Arkansas has to a run a different type of offense to be competitive. That's why Petrino was good.

I wish people would do some research before posting. Offense isn't going to be his issue. They've recruited very well on that side of the ball for the most part. Defense is where he will succeed or be fired.

Our most likely offensive starters next year recruiting rating wise, because that's what you're basing your comment off of as noted in your post above about only having 2 and 3 star talent on that side of the ball.

QB: 4* no matter who starts.
RB: 4*/5*
FB: 3*
WR: 4*/3*/4*
TE: 4*
OT: 4*/3*
OG: 4*/4*
OC: 3* or 4* or 4* depending on who wins the spot.

Defense is our issue as there will only be two, maybe 3, 4* or above starters on that unit.

Arky is the official troll of the SEC now.
They have trolled so much, many of them don't know what they really believe anymore. It has turned into a self troll.

Petrino didn't run anything different. He just ran a pass-heavy pro style. Petrino's success came from being an offensive genius. He knew exactly what to call 99% of the time. It didn't hurt that he had back to back outstanding QB's and one of the best WR corps to ever play on the same team on the College level.

ETA: What a lame 14k post.

my apologies. I should have just said 3 stars, because 247 says you're full of them. And 247 is the best site.

3 stars haven't stopped Arkansas from owning Auburns arse on the plains over the last 6-8 trips down there.

his style was different than the other schools in the SEC. that's why it was difficult to defend once a year. except for bama of course.

All of those rankings of starters come from 247 so again with the research thing.

But it wasn't some crazy gimmick. It was slants and outs with a post or streak mixed in.

Totally agree on the defense... The offense will be solid... I'm not sure arkansas can attract the elite athletes on defense it takes to win this league, but we'll see

Well, your fans have also been really really difficult to stomach. Recent events have taken it over the edge. Although I will get over it and never hated y'all that much to begin with. I will say though....Arkansas fans remind me of...have you ever seen the 80's movie with John Cusack "Better Off Dead"? Great movie...anyway his neighbor is this fat, disgusting frick that ends up being his nemesis because the kid's mom was trying to set him up with their French exchange student. Ricky was his name. Anyway, in spite of the fact that he was a fat disgusting dork-pig, he had this misplaced arrogance....he really thought he was hot shite. That's what y'all remind me of. I always wonder what happened that I missed that would give y'all the idea that you should be arrogant. I mean, other teams in the SEC with similar success, or lack thereof arent arrogant. Hell, South Carolina is a better program but they don't act like y'all.

950 passing yards in 4 games isn't exactly getting shut down. That's 243 yards per game.

Yes, that would certainly end all discussion, IF THE THREAD WAS ABOUT AUBURN.

Nothing worse than barners when they have a little success. Fortunately, it doesn't happen much.

Barners, once more... you must appear in every thread, "look at me, Look at me"

Less than two months ago Auburn played in the NC game, yet they clearly have an obsession with the Razorbacks and Arkansas, Dang, Get a freaking life or start taking Valium to chill the heck out.

Do you not have something, anything, anyone to do other than whom you call "Fat Bert".

You act as if he Jilted you and now you must settle for half the man in Michael Sam! Well, at least he is a Tiger!!!

For you HUNH is Hurry Up Nutzzz Hurtz!~ Because you are the most Blue Balled fan base ever.

The Rodney Dangerfield of Real American Football!

I now have apathy for you, sincere apathy. May God have mercy on your poor little sister, high school souls!

No, he took what should have been a 9-3 team the year before that underperformed and was undercoached and took them to the NC.

Y'all act like he took a pile of cow shite and made prime rib out of it.

St. Gus didn't exactly perform a 'miracle'.

Ok. It's more than arkansas will ever accomplish in football anyway. Doesn't matter for you. We know you Arky posters have extreme bitterness towards Gus for petty reasons. It's very humorous for us. Run along pig
