Tell me this, if bama was third going into today, and won 55-3, would you expect to drop out of the 4 team playoff?

No because Bama didn't lose to any of the teams in the discussion. And the committee will take conference champs into consideration this week.

TCU has a share of the BIG 12 title. I just don't think they drop TCU out of it. They would have more to explain if they do that and put OSU in. It will be easier for them to leave it the way it is. We'll see I guess.

They said that would be one part of the big picture. If OSU was thought to be ahead of TCU going into the weekend, they would have been ranked ahead of them.

SOS

31. TCU Frogs

57. Ohio State Buckeyes

66. Baylor Bears

That is why TCU was ranked ahead of both teams. It's about what has happened on the field this year..........not what the name on the front of the jersey is.

Not according to their own rules. Just because they are ignoring their own conference rules doesn't mean that the committee with view TCU as true conference champs.

Plus OSU has played 13 games compared to 12 by TCU & Baylor. They'll get the nod.

The order/rank doesn't matter to me. RegionAL matchups is the way I hope they go.

When did the teams lose?

Ohio State - game 2
Oregon - game 5
Alabama - game 5
TCU - game 6
Baylor - game 7

Easy choice

I don't think there's any way they frick TCU over after winning 55-3. I think it's wrong. I think they stick to their guns and leave it be. BIG 12 > BIG 10.

So it's not who they lost to that matters, it's what week they lost?

IMO, it's more important who they lost to. And by how much.

ETA: IMO, in the end it will come down to the fact that TCU's only loss is to a great Baylor team. And they barely lost.

This is why I put ZERO stock in these types of rankings.

TCU and Baylor played the exact same schedule except for two games:

TCU - Samford, Minnesota
Baylor - Northwestern St., Buffalo.

Someone's going to have to explain to me how that's 35 spots different.

ETA: And then explain how those two games overshadow head-to-head.

Both teams played each other. I didn't leave that out, either.

Care to answer my question?

Who did Ohio State play OOC?

Minn. had a pretty good season. I'm not sure how the other teams did. I do know that TCU was thought to have played a tougher schedule, and be a better team, than Ohio State coming into today. I don't see how winning 55-3 did anything to change that perception.
