He has a point though.
Arkansas' RPI has jumped, and a win tomorrow jumps it into the 20's and likely hosting.
No excuse for Arkansas to not come out ready and jump on a midweek pitcher with a weekend guy throwing.
If they lose, no one to blame but themselves and get ready to head to Manhattan for the regionals.

Yep, and this is what's concerning. We've had a bit of difficulty, it seems, sometimes, when circumstances are more in our favor.
I agree with the poster who said the game will probably hinge on pitching, and Fant can be "on" or not. Obviously, errors could be a factor, as well.
Games against LSU are generally hard to predict - can't rely so much on stats & how well a team is hitting, pitching, etc. There are so many other factors involved, particularly at this time of year, which is what makes them great games. Much of the outcome depends on who wants the win most, and can make something happen when necessary. Considering that hard to define factor, I'll go with Arkansas, by one run, in extra innings. Can't even guesstimate score.

Arkansas leads 5-4 in the 9th with Raph Rhymes batting and runners at first and second with one out. Rhymes hits a tailor made double play ball that the Arkansas defense boots and the Tigers rally for a 7-5 victory.

I think Maineri said Newman was going today for us. I hope he can become a Nolan Cain type pitcher in the SEC tourney (aka very inconsistent reg season pitcher and a gang buster in the SEC tourney).
