It seems like I've heard more commercials than the show.

One of the most painful radio moments I ever heard was when the sports writer with cerebral palsy met Robert from Iowa on the Paul Finebaum Show. I understand the sentiment and good will, but driving in the car and having to listen to two people you can't understand struggling to make conversation is not relaxing.

The whole Robert thing started out sort of endearing, but it's run its course and is getting sort of painful to keep listening to.

I agree. I usually listen to Finebaum when it's football season and I know that interesting guests will be on, so the only time I hear him is when he comes on before a big call. I try to remind myself how much joy his calls bring him, and sometimes he can be pretty funny when I can understand him.

Was Darryl talking about Larry (aka Beachfinder)?

Was he talking about our Larry?

I don't know, but that Larry sounds like the air conditioning guy my mom had to fire because he couldn't fix air conditioners. He smelled like the bottom of the DKE house at Alabama but with more cigarettes.

I usually listen when I can. You have to take it for what it is to enjoy it. At least its different than the usual blowhard format.

That was Dr. Drunkenstein. I think it came out that he lied to everyone about having cancer. He posted on Shaggy Bevo and they outed him.

Yes that was him, someone posted his last post on shaggy bevo about his final weeks in hospice over here. If that's true, I hope he gets whatever is coming to him, that's just wrong on all sorts of levels.

It seems like they try to put him on right before their breaks so they can cut him off when starts rambling.

The only callers I like are Jim from Crestwood and I-Man.

I wish he would post a schedule of when Gary Danielson, Bruce Feldman, Andy Staples, and some of the other good commentators and writers would be on. Then I could avoid the utter garbage that makes up the majority of his show.
