You are a prime example of why people think the Tide fan base is universally despised. You can't just enjoy your own team's success; you have to hate on someone else's.
And after you doubted that Penn State would lose to Iowa, I had to reset your football IQ to zero.

Wow you're dumb. Go back a re-read those post, and try, just try, for a little comprehension.

Man... seriously. I know it is difficult to understand the concept of logic... but, I can give you a hint -- you are not even close.
Your best response to the "our defense is better than yours..." is, "Tarheels?!?"
Logic Fail.
You want logic, try something like this - check the national rankings of Total Defense, Rushing Defense, and Passing Defense.
TOTAL Def: LSU - 6, Bama - 20
Rushing Def: LSU - 6, Bama - 19
Passing Def: LSU - 22, Bama - 50
Ok, ok... see, that probably doesn't help your argument in verbally attacking LSU's defense... let's dig deeper?
Let's look at the rankings of the offenses that each team has faced -- that'll show that LSU has played crappy offenses, and Bama has played really good offenses -- so you'll get to say something like, "Well, LSU hasn't played anyone tough yet." You following the logic?
So the Total Offense rankings for each team
------------------
LSU
------------------
NC # 62
Vandy #104
Miss St. # 53
WV # 64
TN # 87
------------------
BAMA
------------------
SJ St. #120
Penn ST #75
Duke #39
ARK #18
FL #84
I'm not sure if these numbers really show us anything... Bama has only played one decent offense - ARK, and that was admittedly, a damn close game. LSU really hasn't played a stellar offense, but for one half of the first game where a bunch of freshmen were given someplaying time, the LSU defense has been pretty dang solid. So, here's our lesson of Logic on this... since the numbers REALLY didn't support you in talking down on the LSU defense, your best course of action should be something like...
"your coach is an idiot." -- that seems to be the most widely adopted retort on these boards... and most LSU rantards seem to be in agreement -- so, it's a safe statement to make.
But really... that "Tarheels passing yards..." crap... it's kind of played out.
Notice... in this long-winded lesson of Logic to YOU,
quote:... I have never attacked BAMA -- see, I know enough about logic, and football -- BAMA is a kickass team. You have the skills, the coach, and the media attention. I have no logical reason to attack the performance of your team.

But there is no despair in my house -- I have the knowledge to apply logic to my arguments... and the wisdom to keep my mouth shut when I really don't have a fricking clue... you get my point?
oh yeah-- just for reference, rankings referenced from: NCAA Team Stats

LSU 23
Florida 17
It's probably already been said, but Les Miles will pull something to totally confuse Fla., all fans, and himself to win the game as the clock ticks down.

16-10 Florida
Until I'm proved otherwise, I don't see my Tigers putting up a disciplined showing. Our D will keep it close, but turnovers and penalties finally catch up with us this weekend...

Ridley scores early for LSU and Florida answers late in the first quarter.
Florida kicks a field goal in the 2nd quarter to go up by 3, taking a 10-7 lead into the half.
A big return in the 3rd quarter sets LSU up for the tying field goal.
After an LSU 3 and out, a Florida turnover gives the Tigers good field position and they kick another field goal to go up 13-10.
Patrick Peterson intercepts a pass and takes it to the endzone to ice the game with a few minutes to go in the 4th quarter.
LSU wins 20-10 and improves to 6-0.

I'm sure you have a phd in the subject.

Nope it was a question, an interogative. I asked a question in an attempt to gain information, which is the primary function of the interogative sentence.

And I'm sure that will continue once LSU begins the back half of the season. Defenses do not wear down when they have little offensive support in hard football games.

I'm following the logic that LSU has been in very close ball games against teams tht will struggle to get bowl eligible (WVU will win 8 b/c they play in a frankly crappy Big East)neccissitating keeping starter and those starters playing harder in in order to maintain a win. Bama has been in one game that was close, meaning that we are getting to play a great deal of young players in order to gain experience.

And logically, (since you believe both that you know how to use that word and that you are somehow an expert on the concept) LSU has needed their defense to actually do something. The only times Bama has needed their defense to step up, the first half of the Florida Game and the second half of the Arkansas game, they have dones so.
Oh, by the way, scoring defense:
Alabama- #4
LSU- #9
"

Its not a safe statement to make, its a true statement- but let's define idiot, shall we? I think a safe way to define it (in the context of our little chat here) is one who has shown no propensity to learn from his mistakes and improve upon them. Let me give two glaring examples:
1)Clock Management. Now, There have been three glaring and a couple of not so glaring issues that Miles has had with the clock over the course of his career.
A). He has not shown himself able to properly utilize his time outs. Ex: He called a timeout after a change of possession against Tennessee-when he would have time on the changeover from offense to defense. That was in year 1, so its forgivable. However, just last game, he got a delay of game penalty while coming out of a timeout, showing he either did not utilize the timeout properly, or was unable to manage his players in a proper fashion.
B). Exhibit B. Time management at the end of the ball game. In 2007, Les Miles calls a pass to the end zone with very little time left when a field goal- a much higher percentage play- was enough to win the ball game. Had the quarterback gotten flushed, sacked, or taken a few precious seconds longer than he should have, the game could have easily ended. However, it worked, so he gets a pass. However at Ole Miss, he showed utter ineptitude with the two minute offense when he , number one, allowed twenty seconds or so to roll off the clock without running so much as a play; number 2, did not either order a pass to the endzone or sideline in order to stop the clock with so little time left, c did not have his field goal unit ready to get on the field. This was inexcusable, but the important thing is, he failed to learn from it. He shuffled peronnell in such a manner against Tennessee as to suggest he had no idea who was supposed to be in the ball game at a given time, and won only b/c a younger less experienced coach showed slightly more ineptitude than Les Miles did.
2) Player personnel. I noticed that Jefferson will start against Florida, even though Lee had a much better game against Tennessee and Lee probably gives you a better chance to win. JEfferson has shown no signs of progress as a quarterback this year, while Lee has shown some signs (compare their numbers in the Tennessee game). Yet Miles has insistd on sticking with his first choice, though all the signs this year show that Jefferson is not a very good college quarterback. In other wordshe has failed to learn from the experience the Tennessee should have given him.
quote:
But really... that "Tarheels passing yards..." crap... it's kind of played out.
It almost cost you the game and its played out? Hardly.

Notice... in this long-winded lesson of Logic to YOU,
You are as inept at teaching as the worst public high school teacher.

No right now you don't, though there are aspects that need addressing. But the fact is, other people have. And I was responding to you in my other post was I? Nope. I was responding to (drum roll please) SOMEONE ELSE'S POST! Since you don't agree your free to post your rambling idiocies- just like I am free to post my views on LSU's shortcomings. See how that works?

Oh, I don't have a freaking clue? About what? That your defense damn near collapsed against North Carolina? Or that your coach has demonstrated an inability to learn from his mistakes? No, you don't have the wisdom to keep your mouth shut, hence this post. Now, I didn't respond to you in any manner before this. I responded to one of your trash talking bretheren. However, I will let the season do my talking- with LSU going 9-4 while other teams from the SEC pass them by. Good luck in the swamp. Your coach is 0-2 there and he has shown problems learning from mistakes in the past.
No, on second thought, I will continue to post as I please. Good luck in the swamp. You're gonna need it
