Same. We should have built a bunch of bat sanctuaries on Riverside campus or something. They eat insects and I hate insects.

Yeah they are taking over random buildings just trying to survive. When the bug population is off the charts we are going to miss them.

More than 100,000 fans will walk around the iron gates of Evergreen Cemetery on any given football Saturday, but almost no one will go inside.

Well that is because the gates are always locked. I lived on 13th st and 12th ave my last semester of school, right behind those big new-ish condos on 12th st and 12th ave. I was always annoyed that I had to circumnavigate the graveyard instead of being able to walk straight through it to my house from class and vice versa.

They'll survive in and around BCS because the lights are always going to attract bugs, they'll just never have a structure as secure as Kyle again. There are bridges and apartment complexes and stuff they'll get to, we really could do something for them, I'm surprised we didn't get some sort of federal/state grant for just building bat sanctuaries or something. Seems like it would have been obvious.

Lexington Cemetery was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead (the guy who designed Central Park) and is the defacto nicest "park" in the city. It was not uncommon a generation or 2 ago to find folks having a picnic after sunday church in the plots with their deceased relatives. It really is a beautiful place and you still see folks walking and jogging the varied paths.

If your family has deep roots in the SEC you may find some of your ancient relatives buried here. Same for Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville which is much bigger but not as pretty.

I thought it was interesting, too. I knew about BDS and Neyland, but had no idea about all the bats.

Either at orientation or a campus visit the tour leaders told us they had to build the cemetery because Bama killed so many opposing players. The girls believed it.

For the fans that have never been to Tuscaloosa... I walk past this every two years. Auburn is 7-3 in Ttown, but Bama has won 3 of the last 4. (Auburn won 6 in a row in Ttown)

What does that have to do with this thread? And why did you leave out the fact that some of those wins were in the 19th and early 20th century? Or that that they were at The Quad.

Of all of the odd things about Kyle Field and the Aggies, they picked the bats, that were evicted? No mention of the ridiculous mascot cemetery with a score board, the jizz jars, beating each other with axe handles while naked? The Aggies are the weirdest D1 program, and the bats might be the least odd thing about them.

Are the skeletons at Neyland symbolic of Tenner?

Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field is the football stadium located at the corner of North Avenue at Techwood Drive on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. It has been home to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team, often referred to as the "Ramblin' Wreck", in rudimentary form since 1905 and as a complete stadium since 1913. The team participates in the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. It is the oldest stadium in the FBS and has been the site of more home wins than any other FBS stadium.
