I am not sure what video footage you reviewed but from every angle of video and still photography available, there was no contact either by the helmet, forearm, hand, fist, elbow, or shoulder any on the QB. Absolutely none. The only contact between Devin White and the QB was a forearm or hand contact to the breast plate of the QB. Although Devin White did leave his feet, he did not make forcible contact in the head or neck area. None. Under absolutely no interpretation of the rule was the Devin White hit targeting. His contact with QB is exactly how you teach a play to hit the QB these days.

The video shows no forcible contact in head or neck area. Next.

What is the first part of White’s Body to make contact with Fitzgerald and where

The answer is his hand on his chest.

After that helmet to helmet contact doesn’t matter. Contact to the head or neck area doesn’t matter.

Also, if that’s launching, there is launching on 50% of all tackles. He’s running in stride. Launching is different that taking a large step.
