Good point. The first and only time I've ever seen a fumble ride the sideline for 30 yards and go into the end zone. Something suddenly seemed very wrong after that play.

Yes, that mental genius, Gus Maltball. He skeers college coaches all over the world. Hell, Desmond invented the term "trickeration" just to have something to refer to him by. I hear his farts smell like molasses cookies, and he has been asked to host Jeopardy when Alex Trebeck is not available. I wish other schools in the SEC-W could attract a genius such as Maltball to their staffs, the world would be a better place.....

CBS game = At least 5x , especially if the game gets tight and/or before every long FG attempt.

Just get over it man. All Auburn has are their fluke wins over Alabama, it keeps their program going for decades. Let the babies have their bottle.

Would you rather we had made that kick and then gone into the toilet like they did? They sucked the season before that game and they continue suck after.

We're competing for SEC and National Championships every single year.

It's tougher than you think. Maybe I should find a different lead than "Can I buy you a drink?"

Kick six wasn't a flub. Saban was out coached on low percentage FG try.

Yup

Lost the battle, winning the war, though.

That actually happened in the 2010 game, which begs the question. And I ask this not denigrating any team or player.

Why does it seem like everyone calls 2013 a fluke, but not 2010? I personally think it is just the way the ball bounces in close games and happens to different teams all the time, but there were far more strange plays (freaky plays, luck, destiny, whatever you want to call them) in the 2010 game:
The aforementioned fumble by Ingram
Trent Richardson dropping a sure TD pass at the goal line
Mark Barron (torn pectoral) couldn't lift his arm to defend a long TD pass from Cam to Zachery
Bama o-lineman (playing for injured Barrett Jones) standing around clueless with the ball on the ground that Fairley went and jumped on

2013
I think I remember Gus crediting an assistant for the time-out and putting Davis back for the possible return.
The pop pass that was pretty close and could have gone either way.

So why was 2013 lucky? Each had goods teams in both years. Is it because Cam was a generational type player in 2010, or was it due to the fortunate (for auburn) ending to the Georgia game combined with the kick six, because the kick was as time expired, or something else that feeds this narrative?

I don't consider the Kick Six a lucky win. That game was lost when we gave up the long touchdown pass to tie it up on auburn's last drive. No excuse for that play.

And I would have kicked that FG just like Saban, because I knew we were in serious trouble if that game went to OT with a shellshocked kicker. The odds called for taking the shot, and I would make the same call again (but be a little more prepared for a return this time).

I'll be at the game as I was in 2013. I bet CBS won't play it as many times as the Auburn Jumbotron will. The other Auburn game I went to this year played it and that wasn't even a Bama game, so I imagine we will see it a lot this Saturday.

I'm cool with it, it was an epic play. Hoping that similar to Punt Bama Punt in 1972, Kick Six leads to a nice 9 game win streak for Bama.
