No death penalty, would mess the SEC up too much. They are about to get harder by the NCAA more then any school, except SMU.
They might go 5 years without a SEC win.
I agree. Give them shitty teams for years and reduce attendance and stop the money flow. meanwhile the rest of the league chalks up an easy win against OM for the better part of a decade.

Agreed. No way they get the death penalty. The harsher sentence is having to field a team with 50 scholarships and 40 walkons. OM won't be able to field a 2 deep roster with scholarship players in 2019.

If the AD goes down, Ole Miss is being charge with LOIC for sure! This is crazy!!!

What does the LOIC mean as far as penalties? I always thought that if you get slapped with that, the death penalty was the sentence

Well... we can't win the SEC at Football, so maybe we can win it at cheating. Silver lining, you know!!!

I keep hearing this, but this is almost on SMU level, and perhaps worse. It will be open season on cheating if they get slapped on the wrist. Wasn't the death penalty a 1 year deal for SMU? I think the conference could make do for a year.

All Ole Miss had to do was apologize, that's all they had to.
I really hope we don't get on Nutt's bad side

This was already in place.

Bjork needs to officially join the democratic party, make a donation to the Clinton Foundation, hire Hillary's lawyers, and make those phone records disappear. Along with all of his hard drives, and the hard drives of anyone he's ever come in contact with, and make some of the people go away too.

They were in a position where they couldn't possibly apologize to Nutt and still try to pin shite on him to the NCAA.
Nutt knew exactly what he was doing every step of the way.
He is deliberately destroying Ole Miss.

Slippery slope. They'd end up taking out everyone who is an adversary of his. Including all other SEC coaches and athletic directors

How the hell does Bjork still have a job? Either he knew all this was going on and tried to cover it up. Or he's so incompetent he has no idea what's going on in his own athletic department.

Many schools have been hit with Lack of Institutional Control (LOIC) and the penalties are usually severe. But only one school has received the football death penalty (SMU) and to my knowledge only one school was "starring down the barrel of the death penalty". If they did not get it, then no one ever will.

He knew what was going on, I mean Nick Foley at Florida knew what was going on.

This really isn't earth shattering news. When a plaintiff atty files for Discovery, he goes after every defendant in the suit. Don't be surprised if a host of others in the athletic dept. gets the same legal demand. This is an example of what the NCAA could do if it were able to investigate under civil court rules. The Black Bears need to settle this suit last wk & get Nutt & his atty off their backs. Right now, this is a legal fishing expedition with no limit to what one can catch.
