I wouldn't be surprised to see this somehow connected to Jonathan Kongbo's recruitment while he was in JUCO out in Yuma. It was rumored that Freeze and staff offered his dad a job among other improprieties to try and get Kongbo to Oxford. It was reported on several UT sites that Kongbo's dad wouldn't sign his LOI for several hours on signing day because he wanted him at Ole Miss for his own benefit.

This is a huge deal. The use of burner phones has long been an accepted practice in CFB, but things like this getting discovered all but guarantee the 3rd NOA.

So what are the chances Mars can actually get these phone records?

That was the first thing I thought of. Butch Jones bought him an Ice cream cone, Hugh bought him a young white woman.

That's Freezes MO. Hell, its common knowledge he got the Nkemdiche boys by getting daddy a job in the UM Medical system.

Really? Common knowledge that he didn't get the job. Mutually agreed to terminate the recruitment at the medical center between Summers and the dad. Plus, the younger brother was already at Ole Miss. There is enough stuff going on without having to fabricate things.

He is out to prove that the cheating did indeed occur under Freeze and Freeze not only knew about it but was one of the main cogs involved. RIP Ole Miss.

I hate to pop your bubble but he was in fact promised a job at UMC. The Mississippi State Legislature got inviolved because UMC is tax funded and it violated rules. That is the only reason his job was halted. It is well documented and does not take much effort to find it.

I'd be interested in seeing what kind of settlement Nutt is asking for now to make this all go away. I'd imagine his price has gone up significantly over the past week or so.

I have a feeling it is going to be out of Nutt's hands pretty soon.

Thomas A. Mars, formerly the chief administrative officer for Walmart in the United States, stepped down. José Luis Rodríguezmacedo Rivera, once the general counsel at Walmart’s Mexican division, quietly left the company. And H. Lee Scott Jr., who was Walmart’s chief executive, will retire from the board this month.

These men belong to a list of executives from the uppermost reaches of Walmart’s management who held critical positions when corruption scandals engulfed the company’s international division.

Mr. Mars declined to comment on the circumstances surrounding his departure.

Thank you. I wasn't sure if it was the same guy or not.

This. Nutt wants to prove without a shadow of a doubt who was steering that ship the whole time. The NCAA already knows, but Nutt/Mars are in a position to make the public aware, they aren't silenced by "an on-going investigation."

They should have started settlement negotiations the minute the lawsuit was filed so they could have an NDA signed and be done with this. The NCAA investigating you is one thing. A high dollar plaintiff's attorney is a whole different ballgame. The power of discovery is not something Freeze and Ole Miss need to be screwing around with.

I am quite familiar with what happened. He was offered in 2012 but the dad withdrew his application. Robert was still in Georgia in high school in 2012. PEER threatened to step in and the whole thing broke down. There was no job offer in 2013 as there was no job to offer. But, the following never happened as the other guy stated:

Could be a distinction without a difference.

All the NCAA needs is evidence that the dad was offered a job due to influence from someone connected to the football program. That's an illegal recruiting inducement, whether or not the job ever materializes.

I am sure the NCAA has had time now to check that out
