I seen several numbers listed so far, and I'm not counting right now, but I thought LSU was 2nd in the SEC right behind UGA. Take that with an ounce of the whiskey I'm drinking

There's a couple of different sources that don't quite match. Plus I think teams are still making cuts.

That is prolly it. I know the Saints have a safety from Arkansas, Nelson, that may or may not make it.
As a Saints fan that has seen Roman Harper play and can't remember seeing Nelson in the first two games. I say cut Harper.
Yes i don't like Harper at all, and no it has nothing to do with him going to Bama, and everything to do with his inability to cover

I hear ya, NF L is a whole different universe. But to the topic, I was very surprised LSU is 12th all time in NFL players according to this.
ND still on a whole different level, even after present extended down time.

Not sure why that is surprising. That is about where LSU is all time. Maybe a little higher depending how things are ranked

Yeah, maybe I need to bone up on our history a little more. They are currently 12th in all time winning % so that's about right. I suppose it's because prior to Saban and Miles I always considered them a top 15/top 20 club with better and worse years mixed in. I suppose I should place a higher value but maybe it's because the gawd-awful 90's are still fresh in my mind.

Pittsburg is #10 on all time NFL list, I wouldn't have thought that either.

Even with that I think back in the late 90's we were right around 12th in everthing.
But also granted the awful 90's aren't as fresh to me. First LSU game I watched start to finish was 94 Arky. Oh I still remember looking in the paper and following to the bowl projections, hoping LSU would make the Blockbuster Bowl.
I thought LSU was big time when they played Clemson in the Peach Bowl

According to Stassen, in 1990 LSU was 13th, by 1999 17th, now back up to 12th. I know it's the SecR but between you and I...it's great to be a Tiger!

I didn't think it dropped that low. Is that win %

Amen brother. We have been really lucky the last 12 years. Or really 17. Others may digress, but Dinardo got the ball rolling. IMO

The 90's sucked.

Yes, back to 1869. I'm not sure if Stassen is 100% correct though...but 99.something for sure.

Man I'm happy as a clam. Confident CLM can do the deal till retirement. The trick is hiring a 3rd good HC in a row. I don't if that has been done anywhere at anytime. My optimism is Coach Shamrock pulls one last one out his butt on his way out the door.

I think he can, and I think he has many more years. He has proven he wants to be here.

That will be tough, but of course as a fan, I have a short list. The usual suspects, plus Mike London of UVA. I already wanted LSU to hire Anthony Grant and Shaka Smart, my as well piss of the rest of my friends and family from VA

and Shaka Smart,

Man Shaka would have a hire that would created a buzz. Definitely want to give Jones his shot now, but reeling in someone like Smart would have produced a whole lot of excitement

Hopefull no sooner than 2020. At that time, who knows who will be hot, be proven. At some point I'm going to spend some time and review histories of certain programs and see if they ever had 3 excellent HC's in a row. Off the top of my head though, can't think of one.

Yea, Shaka would of been a great hire, but also a pipe dream. I am however 100% behind CJJ. I like what he has done so far, and everything I have heard. I also think this is his dream job. He wants to be at LSU and wants to win long term at LSU IMO.

Oh yea, I hope it will be at least 2020. Yeah who knows what the candidates will be like at whatever time we need to look, but at this point I do like London, along with the obvious Patterson and Peterson. And actually even Hudspeth of ULL if he keeps winning wherever he may end up
