Texas Aggies are the oldest public University in Texas.

Have the largest enrollment in Texas and SEC.

Sold more than twice as many season tickets than stronghorns and the most in the SEC (102,500).

Have a winning record against the stronghorns since 1975.

Have won 4 straight bowl games and beat Arky. Arky skulldragged stronghorns.

I didn't say it wasn't close, for the last 20 years y'all trail us. I realize that the source of this info may not know there are two SEC schools in the state, but if they are aware of this, they have the wrong school listed.

You do realize that not every single seat in the stadium is sold as a season ticket package right?

Convenient time frame. Almost as bad as LSU only talking about 2000-present, Florida talking about 1990-2009, or Tennessee talking about 1995-2000.

You're right of course ... college sports is big business. Really big business. Billions and billions.

The only impressive one is Florida. They have two other good competitors in their state. All the other schools should 100% be the top school in their state. It is like being surprised that Ohio state is the top school in Ohio.

Legit ... check.

Don't bring the SEC into this.

Every ticket y'all sold was part of a season ticket package?

May have to call bravo sierra on that one ... but I'll check.

Also, don't bring the SEC into this asshat.

Unless you believe that A&M is also the flagship of the SEC? Is that the point you're trying to make here?

Have a winning record against the stronghorns since 1975.

Forty years? Hmmmmmm. Yes, yes, I think I'll allow it. That's a legit arbitrary number.

But why are you referring to them as the "stronghorns?" What is derogatory or pejorative in nature about "stronghorns?"

What is a "flagship?"

Thank you for saying that. Now I know how ridiculous I look when I use the same line.

Most states in the United States provide public university education through one or more university systems. The phrase flagship institution or flagship university may be applied to an individual school or campus within each state system. The College Board, for example, defines flagship universities as the best-known institutions in the state, noting that they were generally the first to be established and are frequently the largest and most selective, as well as the most research-intensive public universities.

We've done this thread before.

Best Known - probably tu
Established - A&M was 1st
Largest - A&M is largest
Most selective - tu is more so, but both are mainly top X% auto ins.
Most Research-Intensive - A&M again here.

3/5, but both are actually the flagship.
