The SEC West is regarded by most college football fans, pundits, and objective metrics as the best division in college football. But Colorado coach Mike MacIntyre thinks the Pac-12 South is better.
"I think [the Pac-12 South] is the toughest division in college football," McIntyre said during Wednesday conference call. "Period," he added, eliminating any confusion as to whether he might continue his comments after an ellipsis or add a parenthetical clause to qualify his statement.
SEC West
1) Alabama
4) Ole Miss
5) Mississippi State
7) Auburn
15) LSU
30) Arkansas
50) Texas A&M
Pac-12 South
17) UCLA
19) Arizona State
21) USC
29) Utah
32) Arizona
73) Colorado
Seems legit.

You mean a coach in that division is pumping up their division? Why would he do that?

Arizona St is really good and Utah as well. UCLA has been hot/cold all year and USC is really talented. Arizona has been good this year, and Colorado has been at least competitive.
Id say they are at least the 2nd best division in CFB.

While I strongly disagree with the Colorado coach, what type of rankings is that??

Per Sagarin it went
1. SEC West
2. Pac12 - something or other
3. SEC East
4. Pac12 - the other one

Cool. Now we got coaches trying to troll us.
I guess if I was last in my division of any conference then that division must be the toughest in all of college football.

If I were getting my arse handed to me on the reg, I would think my division is the toughest as well.

Powerful words from the doormat of the Pac-12 South....

Really odd ranking but I dig it.

Is that the conference with Oklahoma or Oregon? These conferences ending in 12 confuse me so, alas. Reminds me of the movie, 12 Angry Men.
Poor buffalo coach has to lobby for his little division. Willie "shake n bake" Shakespeare put it best:
Much Ado About Nothing

The PAC-12 South is fairly salty but not as talented as the SEC West I think. Which isn't an insult to them, they have some good solid teams there.

I think sec west is the best. Just stating committee's rankings which are bogus in a lot of ways

Very impressive for a team with no offense.

I find it quite fascinating how many different ways people can come up with to rank teams.
Well let's see...
If you take W-L's, take out teams 2, 7, 9, & 18's losses, take away two wins from teams 1, 4, 8, & 23, add back plausible deny-ability for teams 3 & 34, add back punting average for teams 56-81, and then slide back team 21 to 116 for lack of a made trick play 4th down conversion and that should lead you to the rankings listed for our new poll.
