In fairness Tennessee did have a really good year.

8 wins, and they played legit good teams like Oklahoma and Alabama super close.

They also played UF at a bad time, got them right when UF was sorta peaking.

I think more often than not UT would have won the East this year.

No doubt, they are a solid team.

They took two likely CFP teams down to the wire, and one of those games was on the road. Additionally, another of their losses was to the SEC East champion.
