Your claim to a national championship in football is weak. Arkansas was able to find one obscure poll that had them as #1. Counting it as a championship is shameful. And you are seriously delusional if you think the baseball team is close to a national championship. Just accept mediocrIty.....your life will be much easier.

Yeah, you definitely have no idea what you're talking about.

Says that fan that claims 1935 in basketball.

the 2 part.

It implies that somehow you are on Kentucky's level.

I have a funny feeling the SEC regular season winner, the SEC tournament winner, and the SEC team that wins the 2015 CWS will be 3 different SEC teams. I feel much more comfortable bookmarking this claim.

You can save some serious money by not going to your therapist if you would just accept the truth. The University of Arkansas is a runt in the world of college athletics. Always has been and always will.

Bear Bryant era, back in the 50's

Polls ened last day of the season and had Oklahoma #1 then UK beat them in the bowl (back when you only had 4 bowls or so and they meant something)

1950 Kentucky team
SEC champions
Sugar Bowl Champions
National Champions

The 1950 Kentucky team concluded its season with a victory over Bud Wilkinson's #1 ranked and NCAA champion Oklahoma Sooners in the Sugar Bowl. The living players from the 1950 Wildcats team were honored during halftime of a game during the 2005 season as the #1 ranked team for the 1950 season, even though they finished the season ranked #7 by the AP. In 1990, Jeff Sagarin released a retroactive ranking of teams for the 1950 season and Kentucky was listed #1.

They had 1 selection that didn't exist until 1978. Does UK seriously claim it?

Or you can admit that you were wrong about their football title.

They are neither the runt nor the alpha. I would put the Hogs above average but not elite. Hogs are plenty good when compared to schools outside the SEC.

Arkansas and Kentucky are the two best teams in the league. Kind of like how the US and Canada have the two most powerful armed forces in North and Central America.

So, Kentucky is the US and Arkie is the Canada?

Back then polls closed at seasons end and did not include the post season. Clearly now we can see that the post season affects the modern polls. If the polls in the 50's followed the more modern polls, Sooners would not have been #1 for 1950. I know most Gator fans forget college football existed prior to Charlie Pell but old folks have different memories.

Stop it Grits, we do not have a banner for the football title. We do not claim it.

Our other title is in cross country.
