We could do it today.

No questions asked.

Now is the time.

Does the AU President or AD ever petition the SEC for a move to the East? That's where you AU fans need to start if you really want your team to cross divisions.

Message boards do nothing ~ you need your Administration to push your agenda seriously and let the SEC know your wishes.

No. Just like no SEC school ever petitions the SEC to move the HQ out of Birmingham or get rid of Tom Ritter. They all know its BS otherwise they are either fools or they are complicit in the Bama conspiracy.

We did during expansion and we asked during meetings back in the early 2000's.

Its just too hard to keep all the rivalries and separation of the big six

Bama wouldn't stand in Auburns way but we are on the record that we will give up the Iron Bowl before Tennessee

If the sec goes to a 9 game schedule, then Auburn could actually move to the east. I don't know if the 9 game schedule would allow for two permanent opponents from the other divisions. If so Auburn could keep their LSU and Bama rivalries, but Mizzou will be miserable in the west. If for some reason Aubie did move east, and could only have one opponent from the east, it would be Bama. Bama runs the sec and they will get what they want. The iron bowl would still happen regardless of the divisions.

Bama won't allow it. Maybe if both Bama and Auburn move to the east it will work. That way Bama gets to keep their coveted Tennessee game every year too. I'll be happy to swap Florida for Auburn
