LSU is happy with no rivals

Those games are played last for a reason. It’s a game that can ruin your season regardless of the rest of the outcomes. No thanks.

That said I predict the OU@LSU game next year will have bigger playoff implications than your game with Texas.

Yeah, our .500 record against the mighty LSU should have me hang my head in shame, I'm sure.

Since you joined?

Or does some of that count when your mom was just swallowing you?

I really don’t know why so many fans are caught up on who we are rivals with. Who the frick cares? Why does it matter so much to some of you people? Does it make you a better team because you feel like you have an awesome rivalry in state and we don’t? Shoot, the LSU versus Alabama game is bigger than any damn rivalry game during the whole year minus Ohio State and Michigan. And, if you have been even paying attention one bit, you all know that we are already everyone’s rival.

Since when? State has won 5 of the last 8 vs A&M. OM has been beating them too.

We honestly don’t care either way.

This really seems like something only the insecure and unaccomplished would think about.

If you’re in the same division and have to play home/home, or maybe if the conference demands it, then maybe it’s a rivalry. If you’re going out of your way to play a team or promoting neutral field games together, then it’s just a love fest.

Ah.

So games played a long time ago, when the schools and game were very different, are really not all that relevant?

It was never going to happen.

Arkansas has a terrible football brand.

LSU/Oklahoma have superior brands and would bring in bigger ratings.

They’re still relevant if the teams continue to play recently.

Rkansas fans like to argue that only the last 2 count which is pretty hilarious.

No. Because the last game was in 1928

That game was played 11 years before the most glorious day in aggy history. One thing those two games have in common besides leather helmets? Television was a still a few years away and broadcasting football games even longer.
