Not sure I understand the point of the incessant whining about no targeting call.

Targeting or no targeting. Truthfully seen targeting called for a lot less worse. Should have been reviewed at the very least. More blatant was the fact that the defensive player made an effort to land on Daniels with full force of body weight. Should have been a 15 yard penalty. Does it really matter?

LSU was down by 14. Daniels was not coming back in regardless of whether targeting was called or not. Does not change the game at all.

Definitely does not change the fact that the LSU defense absolutely sucks arse. Once the smoke clears this is the real issue for LSU.

This I agree with 100% The LSU Defense is a complete flaming pile of dog shite; calling it a Dumpster Fire is to good of a compliment

Yeah, it’s just another one of those calls that Bama seems to always benefit from.

It’s pure cope. We all do it in losses. LSU fans just have to do it A LOT in this series because they lose A LOT.

A roughing penalty was called.

It definitely wasn't targeting, and I don't think it was roughing either. He hit him in the chin and landed on him. Big deal.

You can't hit the QB above the shoulders or tackle him below the knees by rule currently so it was roughing but it was not targeting.

When a team loses a big game, especially a rivalry, they always find a scapegoat to delay the inevitable feeling that they shite the bed.

I saw the same thing from OU fans Saturday. They are still wanting a petition to the NCAA over the non-PI call late in the 4th. Disregard their offense had 3 turnovers and defense played like shite in the 4th.

Also, when Texas lost in Red River, same exact responses. Maybe dont let Gabriel go 75 yards in 20 seconds to end the game.

It's just what fans and this country have become. We dont look in the mirror, we have to blame someone else.

It wouldn't have changed the outcome, but I spotlights the fact that Bama gets the calls and noncalls. Same with UGA. Mizzou got fricked. SEC wants those two in ATL.

That being said.... The rebs dont stand a chance. SEC will make sure UGA wins saturday.

Isn't the chin part of the "head and NECK area".

Very logical post, but I would think aTm fan would understand that many in the LSU fan base believe their team only loses when someone cheats.

…but a defensive player shouldn’t come running full speed and drive a basically standing still vulnerable QB into the ground….that’s why the penalty was called.A very dirty play, without question.

For the Bama always gets the calls crowd; why are they always one of the most penalized teams if not the most in the SEC?

They have more penalties than LSU this year.

I’ve listened to a ton of podcasts since yesterday.

Bruce Feldman
Stuart Mandel
Josh Pate
Andy Staples
Ari Wasserman

Every single one said it was the right call and it wasn’t targeting. They said there are a dozen similar hits every Saturday.

The refs make those calls to make everyone believe they’re not in our pocket. 3D Chess
