A&M has a long and sordid history of turning unheralded quarterbacks into Heisman candidates.

Didn't we launch Lamar Jackson's Heisman campaign?

Yes, and several others. If Del Rio was playing he'd be able to launch an NFL career

As a True Freshman, he wasn't that well known.

I don't know if that's much better, if we're being honest.

Who gives a shite what his national Q rating was?

He was their starter for most of the year (only missing games due to injury) and had just run wild leading Louisville from down 21 in a huge comeback victory over Kentucky. He wasn't some unknown shmoe that came from nowhere. He was already known for being QB that was really good at running the ball.

Go back and watch the tape. He was widely unknown at the time as CGSC states... the performance was far from expected

Most of the few good offensive players we have will be out for this game. What's worse is because we're playing A&M's funky air raid crap, we'll be in nickel most of the game.

Because of injuries, we could be starting four true freshmen in the secondary Saturday. We'll definitely be starting three.

The problem is trying to pound them with no receiving threats. Unless their secondary is hot, hot garbage, they should just stack the box. Cleveland and Toney will both be out probably. I doubt they're afraid of Brandon Powell beating them deep.

Toney and Cleveland are out it seems.

So now we literally have Davis and Powell.

Davis though...is as good as any back in the Sec. Yea..I said it. Behind an average oline and no pass attack he averages over 7 ypc. Kid is a stud.

Malik Davis is the single brightest spot on our football team this year. Third in the SEC in YPC. The other four in the top five play for Alabama and Georgia. He's already better than Scarlett IMO.

I don't know who we have that can beat this alleged hot garbage secondary though. Biggest problem is I don't know how we're going to score 20 points. And I don't think 20 points will be enough to beat A&M.

I respect Florida and I think it will be close, whoever wins. But I think you are wrong. This is a favorable matchup for A&M.

Forget history and only look at this season.

He was playing QB from the very first game of the season vs Auburn and the only reason he didn't play the entire season was he got hurt.

He already had several big days running the ball during the regular season and was clearly a great athlete who could occasionally hit big throws. He was not a complete unknown like you two are acting. Not at all. Again, he had just torn UK the hell up running the ball all over them in their final game of the season. Just b/c you two don't pay attention to other teams doesn't mean the kid was a complete nobody or that having a big day running the ball against A&M's poor run defense was some big shock.
